Your claims, appeals, and
service record — one dispatch.
VetSITREP reads directly from the VA's own Lighthouse APIs and lays out where every claim, appeal, and appealable issue actually stands — no portal-hopping, no guessing what "under review" means this week.
Signs in with your existing VA.gov (Login.gov or ID.me) credentials. Read-only — VetSITREP never files or changes anything on your behalf.
Three feeds VA keeps in three different places. VetSITREP puts them in one.
Each card below is pulled straight from a separate VA Lighthouse API — VetSITREP just puts them on the same screen so you're not signing into three different systems to get the full picture.
Claims & ratings
Disability compensation claims, current combined rating, and service history — status as VA itself has it logged.
- Claim phase & last update
- Combined + individual ratings
- Service dates & branch
Appeals, AMA & legacy
Both the current AMA appeals lanes and any legacy appeals still working through the older process.
- Higher-Level Review, Supplemental Claim, Board
- Legacy appeal docket status
- Decision letters & dates
Appealable issues
Previously decided issues that may still be eligible to appeal or file a supplemental claim on — easy to lose track of otherwise.
- Issue-by-issue eligibility
- Filing windows where they apply
- Linked back to the original decision
Nothing routes through a VetSITREP server, because there isn't one.
You sign in at VA.gov
Login.gov or ID.me — the same identity verification VA.gov itself uses. Your username and password never touch VetSITREP.
Your device talks to VA directly
The app calls VA's official Lighthouse APIs over HTTPS from your phone. There's no VetSITREP backend in the middle to breach.
Tokens stay on your device
Encrypted in Android Keystore, cleared automatically after 15 minutes idle, and revoked the moment you sign out.
No ads, no analytics, no selling data. There's nothing to monetize your information with — the app has no server to run that business model on.
Read-only, always. VetSITREP can't file, withdraw, or edit anything on your VA record. It only displays what's already there.
Uninstall = gone. No dormant account, no data sitting on a server somewhere. Removing the app removes everything.
Independent, not official. Built by a veteran, not by VA — see the full privacy policy for exactly what's accessed and why.
In closed testing — sandbox verified end to end.
All three VA APIs (Claims, Appeals, Service History) are proven against VA's sandbox environment. VetSITREP is currently working through VA's production access review before a public Play Store release.
