VetSITREP Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VetSITREP mobile application ("the App"), developed by Veteran Solutions LLC ("we," "us," "our," "the Company"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

What VetSITREP is

VetSITREP is a free, read-only companion app that lets a signed-in veteran view their own VA claims, appeals, appealable issues, and service/disability rating information in one dashboard, pulled directly from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' official Lighthouse APIs. VetSITREP does not file, submit, or modify anything on your behalf. It is not an official VA application and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the VA.

Eligibility

The App is intended for use by veterans and other individuals authorized to sign in with a VA.gov-linked account (via Login.gov or ID.me), and is intended for use within the United States. You must be able to sign in through VA's own identity verification process to use the App's features. This includes minors 16 or older who have their own VA.gov-linked account — for example, a minor who has entered military service with parental consent or who has been emancipated by a court. Your account and sign-in

VetSITREP does not create or manage its own user accounts. You sign in using your existing VA.gov credentials, authenticated directly through VA's and its identity providers' own systems. We never see or store your VA.gov username or password. You are responsible for keeping your own VA.gov, Login.gov, and ID.me credentials secure.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: viewing your own VA benefits information. You agree not to:

Attempt to access another person's VA data without their authorization
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code beyond what open-source licenses permit
Use the App in any way that violates VA's own terms of service or API usage policies
Use the App for any unlawful purpose

No monetization of your data

We do not monetize or sell veteran data of any kind. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on what information the App accesses and how it is protected.

No warranty

The App is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. VA data displayed in the App is sourced from VA's own systems; we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness, and you should always confirm anything important directly with the VA or through VA.gov. The App is a convenience tool, not a substitute for official VA correspondence or your VA representative.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veteran Solutions LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including reliance on information displayed in it. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you may have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by signing out and/or uninstalling it, which removes all locally-stored data from your device (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time, though we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of a planned discontinuation.

Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, we will post the updated version at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date, and, for material changes, notify users through the App itself.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
